Steele Curran Defense: this phrase now patented

This blog does not wait for bodies to chill.

Initial, knee-jerk, largely unresearched opinion centers on Kevin Steele, whom Joe notes has only been at Clemson for a year. He was Nick Saban's 2008 associate head coach, defense.

At Florida State Coach Steele was the linebackers coach during Ernie Simms, Buster Davis, Michael Boulware and A.J. Nicholson's tenures. A former Rivals national recruiter of the year, he is a native of Dillon, S.C., and played for Johnny Majors in 1978 and 1979.

4:02 p.m. -- Leaves me confused and disappointed

David Hale, who was just as furloughed as me last week, gets back on the job this week with a pretty funny piece of satire breaking down Offensive Line Coach Stacy Searels' own furlough day
2:25 p.m. -- Calls Vince Vance. Tells him to switch apartments with Cordy Glenn.

5:23 p.m. -- Upon check out at the grocery store, the clerk asks whether Searels would prefer paper or plastic bags. Mrs. Searels quickly interjects, reminding the clerk that her husband doesn't do interviews.
Me: What the hell has happened to our offensive line last year. I mean, I love Stacy Searels, right?

Joe: All this cross training on the offensive line .. I don't know. It wasn't like that back in the day. It used to be, "Oh, you're an offensive tackle. Be ready."

Searels: Best coach on the team?

BRETT: Athens won again last night.

ME: Oh, yeah?

BRETT: Yeah. Kind of ran up the score on me, too.
In other... news, I also predict that Stacy Searels stays at Georgia and continues to be awesome. Joe and I made lists of coaches we'd least like to lose:
Me:
Searels
Richt
Van Halanger
Garner

Joe:
Van Halanger
Garner
Searels
Richt
When I mentioned he'd put Richt 4th, Joe wanted to redo his list. I wouldn't allow it.
